Markus Altenburger 2015 Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC

In 2015, this is a blend from the Hackelsberg, Gritschenberg and Schmalister vineyards. The grapes were hand harvested in the middle of October, destemmed, mashed and fermented in stainless steel. After malolactic, the wine was moved and aged in 1600L wooden casks for twenty-two months. This wine is brambly, juicy and shows its limestone soil with a mineral cut. Only 2800 bottles were produced.
