Château de Bois-Brinçon 2015 Anjou Villages Gohier "Le Clos des Cosses"

Le Clos des Cosses is a steep, hillside vineyard that was planted in 1999 to equal parts cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. If standing in the vineyards on a clear day, you can see the city of Angers. The earth here is a mix of Marne (largile-calcaire mix) and Ostracées (fossilized shells). The grapes are 100% destemmed and are gently macerated and fermented with native yeast in cement. The wine is aged in stainless steel for 18 months, followed by approximately 6 months neutral barrel.
