Markus Altenburger 2016 Grüner Veltliner Ladisberg Leithaberg DAC

The grapes were harvested by hand at the beginning of
September. After destemming and a short mash standing
time the berries were pressed and the juice was
fermented spontaneously in concrete eggs and 500L
barrels. It was aged for 14 months on the fine lees before bottling in March. This gruner is distinctive with aromas of apple and quince. It's bright with salty citrus on the palate with a Burgundian-like texture that makes for a long finish.
