von Hövel 2017 Scharzhofberg Riesling Spätlese
The spätlese shows a lot of sponti aromas right now, but what’s behind that are very deep flavors: black currents, pink peppercorns, dried apricot and bergamot. It is a spicy spätlese full of power yet still linear and focused. It was fermented and aged in neutral barrique.
