Markus Altenburger 2019 Blaufränkisch “vom Kalk”

This is Markus’ entry-level blaufränkisch, grown on limestone rich soils (kalk). Grapes are fully destemmed (not crushed) and underwent spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and neutral oak fermentor for approximately 10 days. The wine was then aged on its lees for 14 months on fine lees in neutral 2000L casks prior to bottling.
