Cascina Melognis 2018 Vino Bianco "Comitis"
“Comitis” is comprised of autochthonous varieties that originate in Croatia, Italy and Switzerland - roughly 50% gouais blanc (locally referred to as charjus), 30% bolana and 20% chasselas (aisone). Michele and Vanina grow these vines on the same Alpine acidic soil makeup that distinguishes their terroir, which are over 25 years old and began organic conversion in 2015. The wine is fermented spontaneously in stainless steel, undergoes a natural malolactic conversion and ages on the lees in stainless for 6 months before bottling.
