Domaine Ruet
Beaujolais | Cercié
Domaine Ruet has been making wine at the foot of Mont Brouilly in Cercié-en-Beaujolais since 1926. Now in its fourth generation under Katy and David Duthel, the 20-hectare estate spans south-facing slopes of granite, schist, and shallow stony soils. They produce parcellaire wines from five crus (Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Morgon, Chiroubles, and Régnié) using organic practices, each vinified separately with indigenous yeasts to express its distinct terroir. Domaine Ruet holds fast to the tradition of semi-carbonic maceration, indigenous yeasts, and has harvested their vineyards by hand since the beginning.
Domaine Ruet 2018 Brouilly “Voujon”
Opposite the Côte de Brouilly is the Brouilly with the famous pink granite soils, known as "gohr," and is earthier by nature. This wine is structured and concentrated while boasting ripe, bright cherries and fresh plums backed by subtle tannic grip.
