Grassl 2021 Zweigelt Ried Schuttenberg

Tension, definition, absolute layer character and high storage potential. This is not generally attributed to Zweigelt, even though it forms the basis of all the great red cuveés in our area and beyond. The Schüttenberg, named after the gravelly, loamy, south-facing location of origin, refutes all prejudices in this regard and shines not only as a single-site wine but also as a complex wine for storage that will benefit from a few years of aging in the bottle. His “condition” could even last a few years longer than that of Bärnreiser.
