Knebel

Mosel Terraces | Winningen

Matthias Knebel has become synonymous with the revolution in German wine quality. His fidelity to painstaking, handwrought viticulture in the unique landscape of the Mosel Terraces yields extraordinary results across his range, from a ridiculously undervalued village bottling to the magnificent GGs. The wines, from one of the most dynamic yet overlooked regions in Germany, deliver unadulterated intensity with an emphasis on texture, minerality, purity, and superb finesse.

Knebel 2020 Riesling "Von den Terrassen"

Being that the basic estate riesling now draws exclusively from Knebel’s Terrassenmosel, the “Von den Terrassen” also received a quality spike. It is now sourced from Hamm, Domgarten, and declassified Röttgen.
