Domaine René Lequin-Colin
Burgundy | Côte de Beaune | Santenay
The wines of this domaine emphasize purity and transparency. From 1er and grand cru holdings in Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet, vigneron François Lequin lets each site speak in the clearest possible voice through organic farming and “a small hand” in the cellar. There is a bright freshness to the wines, from the Retour aux Racines that is a complete departure from basic Bourgogne Blanc to the regal, but never overbearing Bâtard-Montrachet. The pinot noirs are charming and fruit-driven, marked by drinkability and finesse. Altogether, the Lequin-Colin range represents a rare opportunity to tap into tremendous quality and value in Burgundy.

Domaine René Lequin-Colin 2021 Pommard "Les Noizons"
According to Jasper Morris, “this is arguably the best of the village vineyards in Pommard, sitting just above the premiers crus with a superb south-east exposure. There are plenty of small stones in the vineyard to help reflect the heat, even if the vineyard is also subject to cool winds. ”
