Vines at these sites range from 25 to 45 years in age and grow on complex soils of chalk, marl and clay. As is typical for the QVFMR cuvées, the wine was fermented in used oak barrels and aged on the fine lees until bottling in June of 2009. From there the wine was left to rest, en tirage, for 13 years before being disgorged by hand and finished with a faint dosage.
