Franzen 2016 Calmont Riesling Kabinett
2015 was the first vintage that Kilian and Angelina made this fruity riesling from younger vines in the upper portion of the Calmont, in a site called "Fachkaul." This parcel forms the mini-amphitheater-shaped bowl where Kilian's father restored and replanted the vines. It was fermented and aged in stainless steel for 16 months. Pink grapefruit, cassis and kiwi flavors show in this expressive and crunchy kabinett.
