Karl Haidle 2017 Riesling "Ritzling" trocken
Riesling is rare in Württenberg, but the Rems Valley it has a home. This is a blend of different vineyards and different fermentations. 70% is fermented in stainless and 30% in large, old German oak casks from the 1970s. It’s dry, but a “soft” dry with just over 6 grams/L residual sugar. It’s a riesling showing red peaches, plums and tarragon with zip, crunch and juiciness.
