Franzen 2019 Calmont Riesling Grosses Gewächs
The vines for the Calmont Grosses Gewächs come from the oldest parcels, on the lower third of the mountain. The resulting wine has power, structure and length noted with signature spice. Like all wines at Franzen this is fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. Malolactic takes place and elevage continues on the lees for nearly a year before bottling.
